Earlier this week, our managing director, Steve Gregor, visited the Mansion House to accept a Lord Mayor’s Award for contribution to life long learning and development of skills in young people.
Our apprenticeship and training partner, Onsite Bristol, kindly nominated us for the award, which is in recognition of our consistent support of the local Bristol community through taking on 3-5 local school leavers every year and giving them the opportunity and support they need to develop into industry qualified plumbers and electricians.
The event was hosted by Lord Mayor of Bristol, Claire Campion Smith, who is an advocate for learning through Bristol City Council’s Employment, Skills and Learning team. She wanted to thank and congratulate the partners and apprentices nominated by On-Site Bristol for their excellent contributions. It was the Lord Mayor herself who selected the final winners of each award from the selection of nominees and Steve was presented the award from deputy lord mayor, Brenda Massey.
Darren Perkins, Project Manager of On-Site Bristol said he nominated Gregor Heating because; “Employers are vital to apprenticeships and in this case we have a company who are exemplars. With a diverse range of work and a skilled and motivated workforce, Steve’s company is regularly acknowledged with industry awards. They make a huge effort throughout the company to achieve excellence and provide an ideal setting for developing the talented and skilled workforce of the future.”
