Gregor was one of several employers recognised for their support of apprentices and training at the annual On Site Awards hosted in November.
In all, 33 of Bristol’s future construction professionals were recognised for their outstanding achievements during the celebration event. The award winners were presented certificates prizes and trophies, recognising achievement from apprentice plumbers, electricians, bricklayers, plasterers, painters and carpenters, as well as their employers and the tutors that support them in their learning.
Councillor Mark Bradshaw attended the event and referred to the importance of skills to Bristol’s economy and the important contribution played by the employers who work so hard to train the apprentices who take part in the scheme. This program, and the training of local people, is critical to creating sustained employment and growing the local economy.
During 2013 On Site Bristol supported 82 learners into work. Gregor has been working with On Site Bristol for the last two years and employed 5 apprentices.
